Once you've received your Sindh Bar Council (SBC) enrollment, the next step is to become a member of the Karachi Bar Association (KBA), a requirement that must be fulfilled within one month of your license issuance.
When filling the KBA membership form, you’ll need to provide:
Your personal details
Your SBC registration number
Signatures and ledger (registration) numbers of two advocates who are recommending you for membership
Your age (for calculating the applicable membership fee, usually PKR 5,000)
Note: All of this is filled in on the physical application form provided by the KBA office.
📎 2. Documents Required
Make sure to have the following ready for submission:
8 passport-size photographs
Attested copies of all educational documents (Matric to LLB)
Attested copy of your SBC Enrollment Certificate
Paid fee challan (issued by KBA office)
🔄 3. Process
Visit the KBA office at City Court and collect:
The physical application form
The payment challan (fee depends on your age; staff will guide you)
Fill the application form with all required details and signature of two advocates
Attach the documents listed above
Submit the completed application form, attachments, and paid challan at the KBA office
Your name will appear on the KBA website within a day, and
Your KBA membership card will be issued within 15–20 days
